Adoc, Codacons and PIAA has planned for the 29^th of June an European Energy Strike, called “Kick Oil”, to claim the attention of the European Institutions about the consequences and negative effects of the high-priced oil for the consumers. In that day, during the final match of European championship, citizens will be invited to turn off all the lights and the other sources of energy, included car and gas, except  television.

“The growth of fuel price seriously penalized the consumers – affirm the Associations’ Presidents – in every range of their daily life: the oil quotation bear on gas and electricity bill, the rate of food and plane fares”.

With this symbolic protest, European citizens clamour for three measures: the reduction of excises on fuel, in order of 15% in every country; the adoption of a new energy policy; oil payment in Euro.
