ADOC - Italian Consumers' Defence and Guidance Association
Adoc is the national association for consumers' defence and guidance. We are specialised in supporting consumers in pursuing the respect of their rights as savers, users, taxpayers, and as the main stakeholders in healthcare system.
Founded in 1988, it has now 65.000 members. Adoc now covers all the Italian regions and every province. Thanks to the volunteers and the experts that support our activity, we are able to give information, guidance and legal support and assistance to all the aspects connected to consumers'defence. We are also specialised in pursuing alternative legal solutions in controversies through arbitration and extra-judicial procedures based on national agreements with companies representatives and associations.
In each Adoc centre Adoc lawyers give their assistance to consumers.
Adoc is among the founders of Consumers' Forum, the European Association of Consumers (AEC). It is member of the National Council of Consumers and Users (CNCU), of the National Council of Broadcasts' spectators.
The president of Adoc is also member of the special commission of the National Statistics Institute (Istat), responsible of the reform of the consumer basket according which it is determined the official inflation rate.
Adoc has managed and participated to projects co-funded by the European Commission.
Adoc is the editor of a nation wide distributed magazine and through this site give an up to date daily information, to its members and stakeholders.
